Kasey Sturm was recognized as one of Super Lawyer's magazine's Georgia's Rising Stars for 2008 (September, 2008). Kasey was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 2001. She joined Stack & Associates, P.C. in 2004, bringing with her a strong track record of environmental advocacy. She has successfully represented individuals, community groups, homeowners associations, businesses and non-profit organizations in connection with various environmental and land use matters in state, federal and administrative courts and before planning commissions, boards of commissioners and other regulatory bodies.

 Kasey received her J.D. and Master of Studies in Environmental Law (MSEL) from Vermont Law School in 2000. During law school, she worked with several environmental organizations including The Wilderness Society helping to protect Georgia's forests, and The Nature Conservancy, where she worked on international carbon offsets and trading contemplated by the Kyoto Protocol.

A native of Georgia, Ms. Sturm returned to Georgia in 2000 where she started her legal career working with the Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper helping to protect water quality in the Upper Chattachoochee River watershed. She later joined the Georgia Center for Law in the Public Interest (now Green Law) as a Staff Attorney where she continued her environmental career, working with several public interest organizations and local community groups to ensure the protection of Georgia's natural resources. Her work included grass-roots and community organizing, lobbying, administrative appeals, litigation in state, federal and administrative courts.

Ms. Sturm co-authored A Citizen's Guide to Fighting Water Pollution in Georgia. She has given several presentations on citizen enforcement of the Clean Water Act. Ms. Sturm has also served on a number of stake holders groups including the stake holders group for the Industrial Stormwater Permit in Georgia.

Ms. Sturm earned a B.A. in History and Spanish from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. Ms. Sturm was active in the Environmental Law Society and Student Bar Association at Vermont Law School.

Ms. Sturm is admitted to practice in Georgia and South Carolina.
